Ross attends Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall

Marine Engineering student Ross Cawood had the honour of representing the Merchant Navy, his company Carnival Cruises and Fleetwood Nautical Campus at the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall. 

Ross travelled to London on Friday and spent a long day rehearsing with all the other participants before returning on Saturday for more rehearsals, then the afternoon and evening performances.  The evening performance was attended by the King and other senior members of the Royal Family.

Ross said:

It was one of the most incredible experiences to have been part of something so special and to do it in front of the King was amazing. If I was able to do it again I would jump at the chance.  It was such a special opportunity, I will remember it for ever.
