Life in Fleetwood
Fleetwood is based in the uppermost corner of Lancashire’s Fylde Coast, in the north-west of England. The town developed as a fishing port but today is better known for its discounted shopping at Freeport Fleetwood and its League One football club, Fleetwood Town FC.
Fleetwood’s stunning promenade boasts spectacular views of the Cumbrian coastline, with the observation tower at Rossall Point and Fleetwood Museum well worth a visit. At the Marine Hall, you can enjoy a year-round programme of shows and events, from live music to comedy nights.
A tram way links Fleetwood to nearby Blackpool, Europe’s most visited resort, with amazing leisure and entertainment facilities, and a seven-mile stretch of golden sands. The Fylde Coast is also a gateway to natural beauty spots such as Beacon Fell and The Lake District, as well as the vibrant cities of Manchester and Liverpool, all easily accessible by road and rail.
