The Maritime Academy, know as Fleetwood Nautical Campus (FNC) is regarded as one of the UK’s top nautical institutions, offering top-quality maritime further and higher education for Merchant Navy Officers and Maritime Apprenticeships in state-of-the-art facilities. There has been a maritime training establishment in Fleetwood since 1892, when Fleetwood's School for Fishermen was established. This evolved into Fleetwood Navigation School in 1928 and the college moved to its current site in 1967, becoming Fleetwood Nautical College.  In 1987, Fleetwood Nautical Campus became part of Blackpool and the Fylde College.  Find out more about FNC.

Fleetwood Offshore Survival Centre (FOSC) is a leading provider of safety, survival and fire training to the Merchant Navy, offshore oil and gas and renewables industries. With outstanding facilities and highly qualified teaching staff with first hand industry experience, FOSC offers a broad portfolio of industry accredited courses to begin or advance a career in the offshore oil and gas, renewables and maritime industries. LIFT logo

The dedicated fire training centre, Lancashire Industrial Fire Training (LIFT) provides industrial, emergency response training to in house company firefighting teams from high hazard sites, offering initial and emergency response refresher training.  This purpose-built facility allows real life fire and rescue scenarios to be practised in a safe environment, overseen by professional firefighters.
