FNC Head attends inaugural Shipping UK Conference

Our Head of Campus Neil Atkinson represented FNC at the inaugural Chamber of Shipping Shipping UK Conference at the QEII Centre in London, joining representatives from the regulator, shipping companies and other educators.
The keynote speech was delivered by Louise Haigh, Secretary of State for Transport (pictured above) who prioritised the people within Maritime within her speech, referring to an industry with a bedrock of diversity to attract a diverse next generation of seafarers.
Neil commented:
"It was an excellent event to discuss all aspects of maritime education and training with a wide range of stakeholders, reinforcing how well positioned we are in the UK to address important issues such as decarbonisation and technology through our most important asset, our people."
