Course Overview

This module reviews and builds on previously gained knowledge and skills from BST First Aid or to refresh current EFA skills through theoretical and practical training so that participants can administer safe and effective Enhanced First Aid in the wind industry.

Validity of certificate

This certificate is valid for 2 years from date of issue. Participants are required to register for free as a delegate on the GWO WINDA database prior to arriving on any GWO course.

Entry Requirements

Participants must hold a valid in date EFA certificate that can be renewed up to two months prior to expiry, maintaining the original certification date.

All personnel participating in the enhanced first refresher anl be medically fit and capable of fully participating.

 

Assessment Methods

On completion, successful participants should be able to:

  • take responsibility for administering safe, effective, and immediate lifesaving and enhanced first aid measures in an emergency in a Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) environment (Ability, intermediate level)
  • act independently in giving assistance in remote areas using advanced emergency equipment and medical teleconsultation (Ability, intermediate level).

Other Costs and Equipment Needed

Required protective equipment will be provided.

The usual dress for theory sessions is smart/casual.
