Keeping the local waters safe through volunteering with the RNLI and HM Coastguard.
Supporting local businesses with fire awareness and first aid training.
Providing local students with the training and contacts to embark on rewarding maritime careers.
Those are just some of the reasons why Fleetwood Nautical Campus - part of Blackpool and The Fylde College - has been honoured with the Special Recognition for Business and Service in Wyre award.
The award recognises the Fleetwood team for its contributions to the local community.
It was presented to Neil Atkinson, Head of Fleetwood Nautical Campus, at the Wyre Business Awards ceremony.
Neil said: "I was absolutely delighted to go up and accept this award on behalf of all the staff at Fleetwood Nautical Campus, who make it what it is.
"Everyone here makes a huge contribution to our ongoing success."
Garry Payne, chief executive of sponsors and judges Wyre Council, said: "This award goes to an organisation which has demonstrated significant commitment and achieved outstanding benefits for Wyre.
"[Fleetwood Nautical Campus] has an international reputation for excellence, underpinned by a 125-year history of providing high quality training to industry."
