Course Overview
This course provides advanced training to marine pilots in the following techniques; passage planning under pilotage, ship handling and emergency responses in confined waters.
The course is delivered in our Full Mission Ship Bridge Simulator and dates are available throughout the year. The fee is for a booking of up to four pilots.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
Assessment Methods
This course covers the correct use of bridge equipment, ship handling skills, leadership skills, decision making and situational awareness and is assessed by practical exercises.
Teaching and Learning Methods
This course is 32 hours delivered over five consecutive days and is classroom based in our Full Mission Ship Bridge Simulator.
