Course Overview

Qualify for an exciting career at sea with the HNC Nautical Science, delivered by blended learning. Fleetwood Nautical Campus is one of the UK’s top nautical establishments, with graduates enjoying outstanding success rates. The course, when combined with the required STCW short courses and other MCA requirements, will entitle you to apply for an OOW (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency. It provides the required knowledge, skills and experience for eventual seagoing employment as a Watchkeeping Officer in the Merchant Navy.

The HNC is delivered via blended learning, with practical assessments being conducted online. You will be able to access teaching support from the Mumbai Maritime Training Institute (MMTI), where you will also complete your final assessments (supervised by B&FC staff).
